At Wilz Hometown Pharmacy, we have a fantastic and enthusiastic team of pharmacists, technicians, and students. We work together as a high performing team because we openly communicate, collaborate, respect, and help one another. We do this for each other, ourselves and for the success of our patients.
Daily, I work with patients to find solutions to medication problems, find holes in medication therapy, check pediatric doses, listen empathetically to stories of family loss, celebrate patient victories, and so much more. I work closely with patients and their families to optimize medication therapy based on their individual needs by actively listening, communicating with other members of their healthcare team, and ensuring patients have the knowledge and tools to take control of their health.
I was born in England but grew up in a small town in Minnesota. When I was young, my family hit hard times and I remember being really surprised by and grateful for the compassion our neighbors showed by bringing us food and toys. It was during that time that I learned how essential it was to show others kindness and assistance. My dad was a Marine and had a strong work ethic that he instilled in me. I watched him work endlessly to help us recover financially. That work ethic, a love of science and a passion for helping people has helped me get to where I am today.
When I am not in the pharmacy, I am a mom to three wonderful and funny boys. I enjoy spending time outdoors, taking my dog to the dog park, running, hiking, and backpacking. I love a good challenge and am aiming to run a 50 miler one day.
