Hometown Pharmacy was established in its current location in Fort Atkinson by E.E. Sheldon in 1876. In 1895 it was purchased by J.W. Gates.

In 1931 the pharmacy was sold to Harold Tuttle and renamed Tuttle’s Pharmacy. Tuttle’s Pharmacy has since be owned and operated by three generations of the Tuttle Family (Harold, James and now Jon). In 2017 Jon and Becky Tuttle brought in Hometown Pharmacy as a partner. Hometown Pharmacy partners with independent pharmacists across Wisconsin to provide support and innovation to independent pharmacies.

On August 1, 2018 Mike Zagelow acquired the Tuttle’s remaining share of the pharmacy and continues to operate Hometown Pharmacy in Fort Atkinson today.

They support local community events like Trunk or Treat, The Holiday Parade, the Hoard Museum and frequent other small businesses. They also sponsor youth sports and many school related activities.

Hello, I’m Mike Zagelow. I attended Washington State, raised 5 kids with my wife Laura. I enjoy doing things with Laura and our family, traveling when we can, golf and basketball.

Learning proactive ways to stay healthy and becoming part of the community are my favorite things about Hometown.
